What is it? It is a program unique to our salon. It lets you choose hair color that will best fit the needs of your hair and your budget.
Why does one choice cost more than another? Some of ingredients that go in to manufacturing the product are more costly than others which affect the cost of the finished product.
What is the difference between the lines we use? For the most part, it is the ingredients that go into manufacturing the product. The ingredients determine color retention, color choices, percentage of grey coverage, conditioning properties, and shine benefits. All hair color lines chemically alter the color of the hair. The three lines that we offer are professional hair color lines. For simplification we classify the lines as Price Level 1, Price Level 2 and Price Level 3.
Price Level 1 : Excellent conditioning factors which protect and enhance the integrity of the hair. Excellent shine benefit. Excellent grey coverage with double pigmented shades to be added to any formula to cover resistant grey hair. Single process root touch-up...$38.00
Price Level 2 : Excellent conditioning factors which protect the integrity of the hair. Excellent grey coverage especially when choosing from their grey coverage line. Great shine benefit. Single process root touch-up...$30.00
Price Level 3 : It is gentle on the hair and contains decent conditioning properties. The price level 3 line delivers adequate grey coverage for non-resistant to mildly-resistant grey hair. Good shine benefit. Single process root touch-up...$23.00
Factors to consider when choosing a line:
1. Condition of your hair
a) Very damaged----price level 1
b) Slightly to moderately damaged----price levels 1 or 2
c) Good condition----price levels 1, 2 or 3
2. Grey coverage
a) Resistant grey----price levels 1 or 2
b) Significantly grey but would like 100% grey coverage---price levels 1 or 2
c) Significantly grey but total grey coverage is not necessary (may prefer grey to look like its been highlighted or has just a hint of color)----price levels 1, 2 or 3
d) Just starting to grey----price levels 1, 2 or 3
3. Budget
Please choose a line that will allow you to come in regularly for your touch-ups.
If your hair is damaged and we are pulling the color through from roots to ends and/or you are changing your hair color, consider using the better or best line for your initial visit because we have found that these are gentler on the hair. We can change lines to your comfort level for the follow-up visits (there may be a slight color difference when switching lines-talk to your stylist about any concerns you may have).
We would like to use the most expensive line on all of our clients but we realize that budget guidelines may prevent many from having their hair colored. This is why we offer three choices and make hair color available to as many women as possible.
